Gaza War and Questions Western Nations Must Ask Themselves and Their Authorities

By Ali Jalali

It has been over a month since Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel, and during this time, Western policymakers are facing their greatest challenge concerning their democratic values. On one hand, they must uphold values such as counterterrorism and human rights, while on the other hand, they need to adopt nuanced and dual policies due to social tensions arising from the presence of Muslim populations in their countries.

However, how has this challenge trapped Westerners? What questions must they answer, and what kind of behaviors should they be accountable for?

One serious matter that has significantly targeted Western democratic values is turning a blind eye to the root cause of all atrocities and terrorist operations in the region and the world.

Undoubtedly, even ordinary members of society today are aware that the regime in Tehran is the main supporter of terrorism, especially in the Middle East.

A serious question that demands an answer:

Despite numerous clear statements from Iranian authorities, especially high-ranking commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, openly acknowledging support for Hamas and other well-known Islamic terrorist groups in the region, we still witness Western powers turning a blind eye to this malicious regime and feigning ignorance!

These claims do not seem sincere. In reality, it must be said that either their intelligence services and analytical capabilities have become so inefficient that they lack the ability to discern such a crucial matter, for which they should be held accountable given the substantial budgets they receive from their own people. Alternatively, they may be well aware of the situation but deliberately choose to ignore it, providing misleading information. In either case, due to the lack of transparency, they should be accountable to their own people and the world!

Latest Statements and Threats from Military Officials Supporting Terrorism in Tehran Regarding Western Societies!

According to the Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and following the continuous statements of military authorities in Tehran supporting terrorism in the region and the world, recently, “General Mohammadreza Naqdi,” the Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in the third session of the International Assembly of the Oppressed, emphasized the necessity of comprehensive support for Islamic terrorists. He stated, “Islamic warriors and mujahideen are always ready, and today we all have a duty to support resistance on various levels.”

General Mohammadreza Naqdi

We are well aware that when a senior military official of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps speaks of comprehensive support, it goes beyond mere moral or material assistance to these terrorist groups. It implies supporting them with all available resources and on all fronts.

Referring to extensive rallies in major cities of Western countries and the exploitation of slogans by Palestinian supporters, he made provocative remarks, adding, “Humanity has been aroused against the crimes in Gaza and is ready to hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.”

In continuation, this general from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, referring to the defensive operations of the Israeli army against terrorists and labeling them as crimes, called for the continuation and expansion of these engagements. He added, “If the forces on the western coast and the Hezbollah Mujahideen want to carry out complementary operations, they should pay attention to the fact that operations must continue until the end, as the Zionists have shown that they have no limits or boundaries for their crimes.”

The Deputy Coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as usual, criticized Israel and its Western allies, emphasizing that the resistance groups’ operations should continue until the complete destruction of enemies. He stated, “This is a lesson that Operation Sword of al-Quds has taught us. Islamic warriors and Mujahideen are always ready, and today we all have a duty to support resistance on various levels.”

According to this military news agency, General Naqdi, referring to the Western countries’ authorities and international organizations regarding Israel’s military operations in Gaza, called for an uprising of the people in these countries. He emphasized, “The Zionist regime must be held accountable; silence is not permissible at this moment, and nations must stand up against these crimes and take action.”

In an indirect and discriminatory manner, he urged Islamic nuclei in Western countries to move towards organizational struggles in these countries. He called for the removal of America’s power and the existence of Israel, mentioning that today’s actions are preliminary, and extensive plans are in place for this purpose. He stated, “The significant movement that has now formed in condemning the actions of Zionists worldwide must transform into an organization. These protests should be more coordinated to eliminate the rule of America over the world and remove the Zionist regime from the scene. Of course, these are preliminary steps, as there are many significant tasks that need to be accomplished.”

According to the Tasnim News Agency in Tehran, General Naqdi, emphasizing the recent protests in major cities of Western countries, called for the expansion of the anti-American wave and increased threats to the security and interests of these countries. He added, “The achievements of the resistance have been significant; for example, this global awakening advocating the destruction of America and the removal of American dominance is the greatest achievement that we had to work for a century to attain.”

All these statements from this high-ranking official of the terrorist forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are made while Western authorities continue to claim ignorance regarding the comprehensive support of the Tehran regime in turmoil and inhuman events worldwide. This raises numerous questions for the people of these countries and the global community.

Questions such as, why is there so much confusion and hesitation in facing the issue of insecurity and terrorism? Why can’t Western authorities, who are witnessing the consequences of dealing with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and see the security of their own countries and the Middle East at risk, come to a general consensus to eliminate such a threat worldwide?

Does the survival of such a dangerous and terrorist-nurturing regime serve specific interests for some individuals in the West? Who benefits from these individuals?

Until when and to what extent should the people in the region, and even Western countries, pay the price for the wrong policies of their authorities? Is it not time for the responsibilities of all this chaos and security threats to be clarified in history?

Has the Western world come to a point where capitals and friendly countries are destined to face deeper social problems and heightened tensions among Muslim and non-Muslim citizens?

These questions highlight the complexity of the situation and the need for careful consideration of the geopolitical landscape.

Crown prince Reza Pahlavi

While there are numerous questions, given the widespread protests in Iran and the majority of the Iranian society’s support for Israel during the Gaza war, as well as the presence of figures such as Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, who is considered a suitable alternative for bringing peace to the region and the world, the solution is not far-fetched. Undoubtedly, if there is a regime change, Iran will not likely face a fate similar to Libya and Iraq.

Although Western authorities are well aware of this issue, the lack of attention to these matters raises more questions than ever. We leave the discussion of these questions to the citizens and audiences of those countries.
